Napiercore does not operate across every sector, and we do not pretend to. We decline engagements in sectors where we lack direct advisory experience — not because those engagements are unimportant, but because shallow sector knowledge produces advice that sounds plausible and performs poorly in practice. If an inquiry sits outside our established practice areas, we will say so in the first conversation and, where appropriate, suggest the kind of firm that would be better placed to help. That approach costs us some engagements. It also means that every client who works with us gets an adviser who genuinely understands the environment they are operating in.
